Poetry 2
Rainy Day
Rain falls on the faded green porch
I look outside the misty window with
hot coffee in my chilly hands ; keep
sadly wishing you were here with me .
Strong and steady arms around my slender
body ; making me safe like a baby bird in
it's nest . I open my eyes that are filled
with bitter tears. In bare feet ,I walk slowly
back to my room . Coffee is now stale .
Now I climb back into my cold bed to
crawl into a tired ball to keep listening
as the rain falls , the rain falls , the rain falls !

Abuse is never okay
Anyone can be abused and be an abuser
I am a survivor of abuse ; multiple times by several people . I know more than
anyone what is like to be verbally , mentally and emotionally abused and trust
me , know one wants to be a victim of this . That is why I was shocked when
I found out that actress Amber Heard lied about being abused by Johnny Depp .
At the time she made her claims public , I was saddened that he had been
''abusing her '' but something made me think that she was sadly lying . As a
real survivor I saw no sincerity in her demeanor ; I wanted to believe her and
I always stand by and support victims and survivors pf abuse . Given Depp's
unfortunate history of alcohol and drug abuse , I wondered if maybe he was
guilty and that maybe it was mutual abuse . But when those tapes of Amber
admitting to all types of abuse towards her ex-husband surfaced , I was shocked
saddened and, was triggered to the point of tears . Also Ms. Heard's
blatant action of muting comments on her Instagram and smug attitude
convinces me of her guilt . Yes I know Johnny sent his friends private
text messages expressing his justified anger towards Amber . As a
survivor myself , I can relate to saying things about my abuser out of
anger ; he never said those things to Amber . She is an abuser who hides
behind her white privilege and who loves to play the victim . Amber
is a classic narc and sociopath who delights in hurting people . Look
up her history of abuse and harassment . Of course we should believe all
victims of abuse but sadly some individuals lie which then makes it
difficult to believe real victims of abuse . So shame on Amber Heard .
She is a horrible human being for lying about being abused !

Social Distancing
How does social distancing affect us
With the corona virus on the rise , what is the mental impact of social distancing
and what will be the long term affects of this ? Not being able to see our loved
ones in person , non-essential workers having to stay at home , is very stressful
and we are all full of anxiety and panic . We want face to face comfort and
we want to have that human connection right now . But we cannot and are
faced to find ways to cope . some good and some bad like over eating .
It is important to practice self care , to use social media and to help others
during this most difficult time . To connect globally and to know that some are
suffering more than others right now . Be grateful for what you have and know
that this pandemic will be over soon . We will overcome it !

Mental Health and The Corona Virus
How to stay healthy during stressful times
This is a very stressful time right now and it is important to know that it
will eventually come to an end . So how can we stay mentally and physically
healthy right now . Many of us had routines like work , school , socializing ,
therapy and appointments . Many of us have kids home right now and have to
entertain them and answer questions about the virus . There are ways
to reduce the stress we are feeling . Like the following :
Self care
Meditate
Music
Lavender oil
Yoga
Positive affirmations
Helping others any way you can
Get enough sleep
Healthy eating
Know that it will get better and that as a global society we can all get through it !!

What is love
My thoughts on Love
I have only fallen in love a few times in 45yrs ; I have had crushes and do love
my friends and family . But falling in love is complicated because it happens
out of the blue . You do not see it coming . Love is, I believe between
souls , not bodies . It is on a spiritual level that is a connection that spans
several life times . Love is also care , respect and affection ; passion
and chemistry play a part but friendship is also important . When love
grows out of a deep friendship , it is a very special event . It is the
kind of love that will last . We however should never chase love
we should let it happen and we should never stay in a bad relationship
no matter how much we love that person . Also if you are looking
for love , make sure you put effort into it and that you have good
intentions . Finally , love should make us happy but do not depend
on one person for that happiness and love yourself first !!

The Corona Virus
The Corona Virus
I have been thinking about the virus and all the hysteria and fears that it has caused .
It has been heartbreaking to hear about people getting sick and dying . To see an
entire country like Italy shutdown ; all the arts and culture cut off from people .
Also the vulnerable individuals like the elderly who can die from this . Native
Americans are at risk as well; some have a poor standard of living and cannot
have access to the food , meds and supplies they need . We need to try and
stay positive ; to know that this virus will come to an end soon . That we will
recover and heal . Yes I blame our President for not taking this serious , for
not acting when he should have . I will keep praying that the storm ends .
That we will all come through this !

I love the movie "Drop Dead Fred " with Rik Mayall . The movie touches
on the serious subject of child abuse ; Lizzie the heroine grows up to
be insecure and has little self esteem . When her jerk of a husband leaves
her , she moves back home with her abusive mother . But Lizzie's
imaginary friend Drop Dead Fred comes back into her life to make
her "get happy" . He gives her the confidence to take back her life
and move on to a happier place . Fred is more than an imaginary
friend , he is a real one who deep down loved and cared for Lizzie .
